A student of Vedanta and disciple of Swami Parthasarathy since 1997, Joseph has spent most of the last thirteen years in India. After completing the Vedanta Academy’s rigorous, three year residential course on Vedanta in 2001, Joseph returned to America and Washington University in St. Louis where he completed his BA in South and East Asian Religions.

Since then Joseph has remained close to Swamiji and the ashram and continues to practice there for extended periods, having returned to India more than twenty times. He has taught Vedanta at home in Texas and was recently posted as the resident Vedanta teacher in a world class spa on the island of Mauritius.

Joseph now heads our affiliated non-profit Vedanta Cultural Foundation West in Los Angeles and also serves as an organizer of events in Swamiji’s annual US tours.
